Job summary

Orchard Village Animal Clinic in Derry, New Hampshire, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to lead hospital operations and cultivate a positive team culture.

The PM will manage staffing, budgeting, KPIs, and client service initiatives while collaborating with leadership and finance to drive operational excellence and staff engagement across the clinic.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospital management or supervisory experience in veterinary medicine.
• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent business experience.
• CVPM encouraged to apply.
• Sound personal judgment in decision-making.
• Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels.
• Demonstrated competence in hiring, coaching, and disciplinary action.
• Demonstrated empathy toward clients and compassionate animal care.
• Budgeting and financial reporting, including reading and analyzing a P&L statement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to outstanding client service.
• Solid math and Excel/spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and over 40 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital staffing, hiring, and training.
• Work with leadership and finance to prepare and manage budgets.
