Job summary

The Pet Hospital of La Mesa, part of AmeriVet, is seeking a Practice Manager to lead daily operations, manage staff, and drive growth. You’ll oversee finances, client relations, and compliance while partnering with veterinarians to deliver high-quality care.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a manager role, with P&L and financial analysis experience; CVPM or healthcare admin degree is a plus. This full-time role offers a dynamic environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
• CVPM, CVBL and/or a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in P&L management and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all practice staff, including technicians and receptionists.
• Oversee budgeting, billing, expenses, and accounts receivable with action plans.
• Lead client service efforts and ensure outstanding client experiences.
• Manage inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance for smooth operations.
• Support marketing, social media, and community outreach activities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety in daily practice operations.
• Coordinate staff training and onboarding to elevate performance.
