Job summary

National Veterinary Associates is seeking an experienced Hospital Operations Manager for the Greater St Louis area. This full-time, on-site role partners with the Managing Veterinarian to drive hospital performance, patient care, and client service.

You will own P&L, manage staffing, budgeting, and initiatives; lead a team of animal-health professionals; oversee inventory and revenue growth while maintaining compliance and culture.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service.
Experience in hospital, retail, or service-based settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own P&L and be accountable for hospital performance.
Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast hospital needs.
Manage accounts receivable and hospital inventory.
Oversee payroll and labor costs for staff.
Develop hospital schedules and optimize staffing costs.
Lead the hospital team to improve processes and workflows.
Implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
Foster a culture focused on patient care and client service.
Track and maintain licensure for DVMs and provide feedback.
Ensure exceptional client service and team collaboration.
