Job summary

National Veterinary Associates seeks a Manager of Hospital Operations for Laurelwood Animal Hospital in Beaverton, Oregon. You will partner with the Managing Veterinarian to drive revenue, control costs, and foster a culture of high-quality patient care and exceptional service.

Ideal candidates are analytical problem-solvers with a proven track record in operations management and people leadership, capable of on-site leadership and change management across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management or related field.
• Experience leading teams of 15+ with multi-layer staff.
• Proven track record of managing a P&L with revenue of $3M+.
• In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles.
• Strong data analysis and performance metrics knowledge.
• Experience developing long-term business strategies and compliant policies.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present to large groups.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a collaborative liaison between hospital, NVA support center, and Field Leadership.
• Manages staff scheduling and optimization.
• Analyzes and interprets operational reports to identify improvements.
• Implements and champions NVA initiatives as change manager.
• Oversees employee benefits program and hospital insurance plans.
• Develops hospital policy including DEA/OSHA compliance.
• Performs quality checks of client files and manages vendor systems.
• Collaborates with the Managing Veterinarian to implement best practices.
