Job summary

Willow Ridge Animal Hospital in Loves Park, IL is seeking an experienced Hospital Manager to lead and develop the team and drive the hospital’s growth. The ideal candidate will understand the veterinary industry, be team oriented, independent, and adaptable, with the autonomy to manage operations for patients, clients, and staff.

The role focuses on overseeing business operations, staffing, financials, inventory, and facility management while maintaining a welcoming, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or relevant education and work experience.
• Certified Veterinary Practice Manager is desirable but not required.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and positive attitude, people oriented.

Responsibilities

• Managing the financial reporting of the business, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, budgeting, income reconciliation, credit and banking
• Inventory management including process flow and control
• Managing patient medical records and ensuring the highest quality of accuracy
• Interviewing and hiring of needed staff members
• Providing training for new hires
• Scheduling needs for staff and doctors
• Promotes and helps ensure a patient centered environment
• Facilitates resolutions for client problems that cannot be resolved by doctors or staff
• Community involvement, including fundraising and charity events
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
