Job summary

Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Manager to lead our growing team, ensure outstanding patient care, and deliver exceptional client service. You will shape the hospital’s future, drive profitability, and foster a culture of excellence and compassion through hands-on leadership.

As part of the hospital management team, you’ll work with the Managing Veterinarian to optimize operations, control costs, and guide staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years managerial experience including customer service.
• Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based industry with increased responsibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L and be accountable for hospital performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast needs.
• Manage accounts receivable.
• Oversee hospital inventory and control costs.
• Manage payroll and labor costs.
• Develop hospital schedule and labor planning.
• Promote change and share best practices.
• Lead the hospital team to improve processes across client service, operations and administration.
• Implement new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Establish and drive the hospital culture.
• Maintain licensure for all DVMs.
• Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations.
• Reinforce top-tier client service.

Education
