Job summary

Mars Incorporated, in partnership with Royal Canin, seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager for Des Moines, IA. This field-based role requires living within the territory and traveling 20–30% to grow clinical partnerships and achieve sales goals.

You will translate product knowledge and clinic data into opportunities, develop a territory business plan, build relationships with clinic decision-makers, and deliver data-driven presentations to veterinary staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written)
• Possession of a driver's license and a clean driving record
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends for conferences; approximately 20-30%+ travel

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and grow clinics within the geography
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address Veterinary staff needs
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives
• Partner and work with others to meet shared objectives and execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy
• Adapt strategies based on quarterly reviews with Line Manager to maximize territory performance
• Manage expense and sales budget; complete CRM calls, expense reports, and presentations timely
