Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager in Des Moines, IA to drive Vet BU sales and identify clinic opportunities within a field-based role. You will work cross-functionally to grow clinic access and veterinary recommendations, targeting key clinics across the territory.

Qualifications include 2+ years of sales experience (Vets preferred), strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license with a willingness to travel 20–30%+; a Bachelor’s degree is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; ~20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customers, and data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic needs.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers in the geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations for Veterinary staff.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships within the BU and organization.
• Collaborate with others to meet shared objectives and drive sales.
• Execute the Veterinary BU sales strategy effectively.
• Work in a cross-functional team-based environment amid changing conditions.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with the Line Manager and adjust strategies.
• Budget and reporting: manage expenses and sales budget; complete CRM and reports timely.
