Externship Responsibilities

• Work closely with a supervising veterinarian to gather patient histories
• Perform physical examinations
• Create treatment plans
• Conduct diagnostics and dentistry services
• Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures
• Manage patients medically
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Externship Details

Externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. Externships are offered to 4th‑year veterinary students.

Eligibility & Stipend
