Job description

Highway 92 Animal Hospital is a full‑service hospital with two doctors, four exam rooms, and separate cat and dog entrances. The hospital manager has extensive medical experience. It offers a warm learning environment for veterinary students.

Externship Experience

Veterinary students will work closely with supervising veterinarians to:

• Gather patient histories
• Perform physical examinations
• Create treatment plans
• Conduct diagnostics
• Provide dentistry services
• Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures
• Manage patients medically

Students will also develop communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Externships last between two and eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate.

Stipend
