Abqpetcarehospital in Renton is offering an externship for 3rd and 4th-year veterinary students, providing hands-on experience in various aspects of veterinary care. Participants will work closely with veterinarians, performing tasks such as gathering patient histories and assisting in surgeries.
Students will receive a stipend of $1,500 for their renown contribution to the clinic's mission of high-quality care for small animals. This externship promises an enriching experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
At our Renton Pet Clinic, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases and assist with a wide range of surgeries, from cystotomies to enterotomies, to spays and neuters. We are a fun, fast-paced clinic dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care to small animals. We have a well-trained, hardworking team that supports our veterinarians in providing the best medical, surgical, and dental care to our patients. We have a superstar LVT who will make dentals seem like a breeze.
Students will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience in the following areas:
Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. Externships at Value Pet Clinic-Renton are designed for 3rd and 4th-year veterinary students. Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
The stipend amount for Renton Highlands Pet Clinic is $1,500.
