Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) seeks a Medical Director who will lead emergency teams in our Alabama hospitals, driving clinical excellence and a patient-centered approach. The MD will guide specialists and technicians, promote mentorship, and uphold VEG's core values from triage through discharge.

The role emphasizes servant leadership, collaboration with market leadership, and strategic growth while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across VEG facilities.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent degree required.
• 5+ years of traditional 24/7 ER experience and critical case management.
• Strong leadership and mentorship experience preferred.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight and leadership across VEG hospitals in your market.
• Lead teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care.
• establish recruitment strategies and ensure clinician development.
• Collaborate with market owner on marketing and operations.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and patient safety initiatives.
• Foster a culture of learning, integrity, and teamwork.
