Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) seeks a Medical Director to lead emergency veterinary teams with a focus on clinical excellence and patient safety. You’ll guide hospitals, shape culture, and mentor doctors and technicians in a fast-paced environment, ensuring top-tier care for patients and satisfaction for families.

You will collaborate with market leadership on growth strategies, recruit and develop talent, and maintain schedules while upholding regulatory standards across VEG hospitals.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• 5+ years of traditional 24/7 ER experience and critical case management.
• Leadership and mentorship experience preferred; comfort leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a positive culture across the hospital.
• Lead doctor and technician collaboration for clinically excellent care.
• Head VEG’s patient safety initiatives and ensure high-quality care.
• Oversee doctor recruitment, succession planning, and development plans.
• Partner with market leadership on marketing strategy and hospital performance.
• Create and maintain doctor schedules and ensure regulatory compliance.
