Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking a Clinical Staff Manager in Paramus, NJ to lead our emergency care team and develop a high-quality staff culture. Qualifications

• 5+ years of clinical veterinary technician experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Must be enrolled in a Credentialing Support Program (CSP) and able to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician within one year.
• Flexibility to work 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing, hiring and training a diverse group of new VEG Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants in partnership with the leadership team.
• Leads onboarding experience for new staff in partnership with Onboarding and Hospital Manager.
• Oversee support staff team and engage as a leader across the hospital with all teams and shifts.
• Foster a learning culture and educate staff through formal education tracks and coaching.
• Serve as the first point of contact for staff concerns and coordinate with leadership as needed.
• Address interpersonal conflicts on shift to maintain workflow and patient care.
