Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a Clinical Staff Manager to lead the hospital's support staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and VEG culture. You will own onboarding, training, and ongoing development for technicians and assistants while partnering with Medical Director and Regional leadership to meet hospital goals.

In this role you will supervise shifts, address staff concerns, and drive process improvements across recruitment, scheduling, payroll, and performance management

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a clinical veterinary technician role

Responsibilities

• Directly oversee the support staff team and act as a visible leader across shifts
• Lead onboarding and training for new support staff in collaboration with Medical Director and Regional teams
• Foster a learning culture and provide coaching via formal education tracks and tools
• Address staff concerns and resolve conflicts to protect workflow and patient care
• Coordinate with leadership to align practice goals and implement VEG-wide initiatives
• Develop and maintain staff schedules, leave plans, and interns/externships
• Partner with hospital leadership on customer experience, workflow, and process improvements
• Oversee HR operations including payroll, I-9s, benefits, and leave programs
• Drive performance management, succession planning, and accountability with Hospital Manager and People Partner
• Promote inclusivity and equitable treatment while modeling VEG values
