Job summary

Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (TVMDL) seeks a Clinical Pathologist I in College Station. The role involves high-volume diagnostic work in clinical pathology, including cytology, hematology, and serum protein electrophoresis, with client consultations and collaboration across sections.

The candidate should have a DVM from an AVMA-accredited program, completed a clinical pathology residency or be board-eligible (ACVP/ECVP), and have at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from AVMA-accredited program.
• Completion of clinical pathology residency or eligibility for ACVP/ECVP board.
• Two years of related clinical pathology experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic testing within the clinical pathology section, including cytology evaluation and interpretation.
• Enters pathology reports into LIMS and reviews complex results with clients.
• Serves as SME in clinical pathology and mentors staff and residents.
• Coordinates testing with other sections and ensures accuracy of test ordering.
• Maintains compliance with SOPs, QA programs, and safety rules.
