Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a veterinary pathologist to perform complex microscopic evaluation of tissue sections from laboratory animal studies, supervise necropsies and provide scientific guidance to histology staff.

The role requires a DVM/VMD with ACVP board certification and 3+ years in pathology; experience with toxicologic pathology and data systems (Xybion/Instem/APLIS) is preferred. Relocation assistance available and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD degree or other veterinary degree; Board certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
• 3+ years of experience in pathology residency.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex microscopic evaluation and interpretation of tissue sections from animals.
• Author pathology reports meeting deadlines.
• Supervise necropsies and guide necropsy technicians for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate significance of pathologic findings to study directors and clients.
• Participate in histopathology consultations and peer reviews.
