Job summary

Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in Auburn, Alabama seeks a Veterinary Customer Services Representative I/II to perform clerical duties related to veterinary care and to serve as the frontline contact for clients and their animal patients.

The role focuses on the Vaughan Large Animal Teaching Hospital with cross-training in the Small Animal Hospital. You will welcome clients, manage records, assist with admissions and discharge, and coordinate appointments with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in a veterinary, medical office, or hospital setting working with medical records and hospital information systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes clients to the hospital, registers clients’ animals, and verifies demographics.
• Gathers records, compiles medical records, and alerts clinical personnel of arrivals.
• Directs clients within the clinic and ensures the visit is successful.
• Communicates with the clinical team regarding patient/client needs and expectations.
• Handles telephone calls, schedules appointments, and provides information to callers/visitors.
