Job summary

Pet Services of Washington, P.S. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a friendly front desk associate to greet clients and their pets, schedule appointments, collect payments, and guide customers on products and services.

The role requires excellent listening skills, compassion for pets and people, and the ability to work non-traditional hours. You will help educate clients on basic pet care and maintain accurate medical records in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of proven past experience helping customers.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work around pets.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending products and services, including prescriptions.
• Educating clients on general animal care and non-medical pet care.
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
