Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare in San Fernando Valley is seeking Client Care team members for day shifts. You will be the first contact for pet parents, handling calls and emails with empathy while guiding clients and referral hospitals through check-in, discharge, and follow-up questions.

Pay ranges from $18–$22 per hour, with additional shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekend shifts. The role emphasizes compassionate communication and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced veterinary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a customer service role (prior veterinary experience preferred)
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently in a clear and audible voice

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, triaging urgent messages, directing calls to appropriate department
• Effectively communicate/resolve client questions via phone and email
• Maintain an empathetic and compassionate demeanor when working with our pet parents
• Assist referring hospitals with questions in timely and efficient manner
• Maintain medical records
• Triage incoming requests for referrals and guide clients through check-in/discharge/check-out

ACCESS San Fernando Valley is looking for individuals like YOU to join our growing Client Care Day Shift Team!

ACCESS in San Fernando Valley is one of the largest multispecialty referral hospitals in Southern California. And we understand a visit to the hospital is stressful for our pet parents. Our Client Care Team are the “first faces” of a pet’s visit to the hospital and we understand just how important this role is to the success of our hospital.

How important? Let’s talk pay. Our pay ranges begin at $18 - $22/ hour dependent upon existing experience.

ACCESS San Fernando Valley also offers shift differentials.

Shift hours worked between:

• 7pm-11pm = additional $2/hour
• 11pm-7am = additional $3/hour
• any shift on Saturdays and Sundays = additional $2/hour

Our Client Care Team consists of Client Care Representatives and Referral Coordinators. While your day to day can vary, some duties you can expect will consist of:

• Answer incoming calls, triaging urgent messages, directing calls to appropriate department
• Effectively communicate/resolve client questions via phone and email
• Maintain an empathetic and compassionate demeanor when working with our pet parents
• Assist referring hospitals with questions in timely and efficient manner
• Maintain medical records

Referral Coordinators:

• Triage incoming requests
• Guide clients through check-in, discharge, check out
• Handle financial transactions
• Facilitate medication requests
• Effectively communicate/resolve client questions via phone and email
• Work closely with our medical teams to ensure a positive outcome at each visit
