Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant at Ramsey Animal Hospital in Ramsey, MN. You will support veterinarians with surgeries, dentistry, labs, and client education in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Onsite duties include reception tasks, medical history collection, and ensuring efficient hospital operations. The role requires 6+ months in the veterinary field and NAVTA-approved training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in the veterinary industry.
• Completion of a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and client communications.
• Handle reception duties: phone calls, scheduling, patient intake and discharge.
• Monitor patient well-being and maintain a sanitary work environment.
• Educate clients on Wellness Plans and pet care.
• Assist with inventory management and supplies.
• Ensure completion of duties before shift end.
