Job summary

Ramsey Animal Hospital is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our busy small animal practice in the NW suburbs near Minneapolis. You will support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients, and uphold high standards of care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role is onsite with potential long shifts; NAVTA certification is preferred. WellHaven benefits and opportunities for growth are available within the network. Salary range is $18-$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in veterinary industry.
• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in surgery, dentistry, labs, venipuncture, and sterile technique.
• Support day-to-day hospital operations and patient care.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and pet care.
• Assist with reception duties: scheduling, intake and discharge, medical history collection.
