Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Christina, DE is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant Practice Manager to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.

Pay: $32.50 - $47.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Direct and supervise associates.
  2. Create an organizational environment and value system that stimulates morale and productivity.
  3. Collaborate with training and clinical staff to meet training and quality goals.
  4. Coach and lead through effective feedback to associates via the supervisory team.
  5. Monitor and evaluate daily operations.
  6. Partner with the Practice Manager to develop and implement action plans to maximize hospital efficiency.
  7. Handle personnel functions including hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and maintaining personnel records.
  8. Assist in budget preparation and ensure revenue and training goals are met.
  9. Review and approve employee schedules based on hospital needs.
  10. Maintain inventory levels of necessary supplies.
  11. Prepare and submit reports as required.
  12. Ensure compliance with regulations, SOPs, and OSHA guidelines.
  13. Build rapport with clients and referring DVMs to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  14. Minimize hospital liability through risk management.
  15. Investigate unsafe situations and complaints.
  16. Contribute to creating a positive team environment.
