Regional Operations Manager

DaVita is currently seeking a Regional Operations Manager for Patient Pathways.

Patient Pathways is the nation's largest independent provider of discharge planning, placement services, and education for acute dialysis patients across the country. We are looking for a strong operational leader to manage and support approximately 17 hospital partner programs across multiple states including Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, and Connecticut. This position is remote, but the teammate must be located in this area as regular travel is required across the territory.

The Role You'd Play as a Regional Operations Manager:

Team Leadership:

• Lead a remote team of approximately 9 Patient Pathways Dialysis Coordinators, including team relations, fostering a positive environment, conducting performance reviews, managing recruitment, retention, and terminations.
• Conduct regular update calls and operating reviews with direct reports.
• Manage hiring and onboarding for Dialysis Coordinators in the territory.
• Follow DaVita Teammate Guidelines and employment policies.
• Organize training sessions for new teammates, including classroom and shadowing experiences.

Financial Responsibilities:

• Review financial statements and data.
• Own the territory's P&L.
• Use financial data to improve profitability, manage budgets, and develop strategies for financial health.

Growth and Strategic Initiatives:

• Implement new Patient Pathways programs across hospital partners.
• Meet with hospital partners to discuss discharge processes.
• Train hospital partners on the program.
• Identify improvements in discharge processes.
• Conduct regular check-ins with hospital partners and management.
• Develop strategies to differentiate in the marketplace and grow market share.

Market Education and Strategy:

• Collaborate with operations leadership to introduce Patient Pathways.
• Update leadership on program progress and impact.
• Discuss ongoing strategies with management teams.

Coverage Assistance:

• Provide coverage at partner hospitals as needed, including during PTO or vacancies.

Reporting:

• Analyze reports on patient volume, stay, and readmissions.
• Assess market performance and recommend actions.
• Provide monthly updates to management.

Experience Required:

• At least 2 years' management experience, healthcare industry preferred.
• 2 years' project management or implementation experience.
• Knowledge of insurance plans and government programs.
• Operational experience across multiple sites.
• Proven success in strategy development, growth, and operational problem solving.
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% regionally and nationally.
