Banfield Pet Hospital seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians while ensuring pet and client safety and high-quality care. You will apply NAVTA-aligned skills daily and educate clients about preventive wellness plans.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient flow, collaborating with veterinarians and techs, and mentoring team members in a fast-paced hospital setting. We value safety, cleanliness and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• The role requires a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must demonstrate NAVTA-approved skills at a level that supports practice efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain the flow of patients
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and areas clean
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care
• Mentor other members of the hospital team
