Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring safe pet care and a smooth flow of patients. You will educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans, while upholding hospital standards in a collaborative team setting.

You will use your NAVTA-aligned training to assist daily procedures, mentor staff, and contribute to a positive patient and client experience. This role is full-time and on-site at Banfield facilities.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and vet technicians to ensure safe, quality care.
• Maintain patient flow and communicate with the team.
• Set up procedures not requiring veterinarian or vet tech involvement.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
