Job summary

Petco is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to support Vetco Total Care within a hospital setting. You will provide excellent client and patient care, assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, dentistry, and anesthesia, and help maintain medical records and facility cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and patients, escort to exam room, record vitals and medical history.
Assist doctors with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
Restrain patients, process lab samples, and dispense medications as directed.
Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, and update records.
Prepare patients for procedures and assist during anesthesia and recovery.
Perform in-hospital treatments, monitor vital signs, and ensure clean facilities.
Train new staff and share knowledge as required.
Maintain a neat hospital environment and routine maintenance.
