Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.
• Telephone and computer skills.
• Experience working in a veterinary practice is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge with the team.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, escort to exam rooms, record weight and vital signs and document in EMR.
• Assist doctors with appointments, surgery, dentistry and euthanasia under supervision.
• Take patient restraint, process laboratory samples, handle medications and maintain EMR.
• Schedule appointments, provide client education, relay test results and update records.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist with anesthesia and recovery.
• Provide in-hospital treatments including medications and IV fluids; care for patients.
• Help train new staff and share knowledge as required.
• Keep hospital environment neat and adhere to maintenance schedule.
