Qualifications

• Must perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program skills at a level that aids in the efficiency of the practice.
• NAVTA-approved program completion or equivalent education that provides required knowledge and skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain the flow of patients.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and vet techs.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and keep areas clean and organized.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
