Banfield Pet Hospital seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care. You will engage with clients, assist in daily hospital duties, and uphold NAVTA guidelines within state practice acts.

The role focuses on supporting preventive care education and collaborating with a skilled hospital team to deliver high-quality veterinary services. A NAVTA-approved program and a high school diploma are preferred.

Formación

• NAVTA-approved program completion or equivalent education/experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform NAVTA-reported veterinary assistant skills and duties.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain patient flow and assist veterinarians and technicians.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Carry out procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and spaces clean.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
