Job summary

Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey in Swedesboro, NJ, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join Thrive Pet Healthcare. You’ll provide compassionate, hands-on care for our patients and support the clinic team with outpatient treatments and laboratory testing.

The role also covers admitting and discharging patients, coordinating with specialists when needed, and ensuring a high standard of compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Assistant (direct patient care).
  • Experience in an Emergency or Specialty environment preferred
  • Experience with anesthesia preferred
  • Must have ability to work rotating weekends
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end care for patients, including outpatient treatments.
  • Perform laboratory tests.

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of$17 - $19/ hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
