Job summary

Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant in Swedesboro, NJ, joining Thrive Pet Healthcare. You will deliver end-to-end patient care, perform lab tests, and support admitting and discharge processes.

Requirements include 1–2 years of clinical veterinary experience, weekend rotation flexibility, and a willingness to work in an emergency or specialty setting. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

• Experience in Emergency or Specialty environment preferred.
• Experience with anesthesia preferred.
• Must have ability to work rotating weekends.

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Assistant (direct patient care)
• Experience in an Emergency or Specialty environment preferred
• Experience with anesthesia preferred

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $17 – $19/ hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
