Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey, part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community, is seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to join the Specialty Surgery team in Swedesboro, NJ. You will provide comprehensive, hands-on care for patients and support services including admission and discharge, with emphasis on anesthesia and patient monitoring.

  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician.
  • CVT/RVT/LVT certification active and current required.
  • Strong anesthesia skills including BP, ECG, SpO2, and ETCO2 monitoring and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Positive work attitude and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end care for patients, from admission to discharge.
  • Facilitate outpatient treatments and perform laboratory tests.
  • Assist with admitting and discharging patients and related support tasks.

Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey is looking for a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Specialty Surgery team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Swedesboro, NJ.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) required
  • Superior/advanced technical skills, including experience with epidurals, high-risk anesthesia, aseptic technique, sterile field maintenance, CRI calculations etc.
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $29 – $35 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
