Job summary

Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our General Practice team in Swedesboro, NJ as part of Thrive Pet Healthcare.

You’ll provide hands-on care, assist with outpatient treatments and lab work, and support admitting and discharging patients while collaborating with doctors to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–3 years of clinical veterinary experience in a General Practice setting.
  • Active CVT/RVT/LVT credentials preferred.
  • Proficient in sample collection, IVC placement, radiographic positioning, and vaccine administration.
  • Comfortable with anal gland expression, nail trims, and outpatient procedures.
  • Strong anesthesia skills including BP, ECG, SpO2, and capnography integration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end care for patients in a General Practice setting.
  • Assist doctors with outpatient treatments and laboratory tests.
  • Support admitting and discharging patients and coordinating care.
  • Maintain clear communication and organized records throughout visits.

Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey is looking for a f ull- t imeVeterinary Technician to join our General Practice team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Swedesboro, NJ.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end- to- end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 1-3 years of clinical veterinary experience in a General Practice Setting(direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
  • Proficiency in sample collection, IVC placement and maintenance, radiographic positioning and vaccine administration
  • Comfortable performing anal gland expression, nail trims and other outpatient procedures
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $20 – $26 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
