Job summary

Auburn Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and a schedule of 3 full days and 1 half-day with rotating Saturday shifts.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient care
  • Assist with collecting and preparing laboratory samples as directed
  • Support the team with medications, treatments, and patient care under appropriate supervision
  • Monitor patients and communicate changes or concerns to the medical team
  • Maintain accurate patient information and medical records
  • Clean, disinfect, stock, and organize exam and treatment areas
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient hospital environment
  • Communicate compassionately and professionally with clients and teammates
  • Jump in where needed to keep the hospital running smoothly
