Park Animal Hospital & Wellness Center in Denver, CO is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited, three-doctor practice. You will support veterinarians and technicians, assist with examinations, and help maintain a clean, efficient hospital.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with patient care and daily hospital operations.
• Assist with patient handling and restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Gather patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
• Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical spaces for patient care.
• Assist with diagnostic sample collection and laboratory procedures based on experience.
• Support surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation and recovery.
• Help monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes to the medical team.
• Assist with medications, treatments, and other patient-care tasks as directed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and teammates.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital spaces clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Collaborate with the entire hospital team to maintain an efficient workflow and exceptional patient experience.

Position Details

Role: Veterinary Assistant

Status: Full-time

Salary: $20-$22 per hour

Schedule: 4-day workweek with rotating Saturdays
