Qualifications

• DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited school.
• Active veterinary license in the practicing state.
• Current DEA license.
• Current Controlled Substance License or ability to obtain.
• USDA accreditation (minimum).
• Comfort with anesthesia and routine surgeries (canine/feline).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor under stress.
• Telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care: examinations, diagnoses, preventive care.
• Develop problem-based plans with differential diagnoses and treatments.
• Document observations and diagnoses in medical records.
• Perform surgeries: spays/neuters, exploratory, mass removals.
• Perform dental procedures: exams, radiographs, extractions.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate with referral hospitals.
