Job summary

Petco Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to lead patient care, perform surgeries, and manage dental procedures in a full‑service practice. Qualifications

• DVM degree from AVMA‑accredited school.
• Active unrestricted veterinary license in the state of employment.
• Current DEA license.
• CS license if applicable or able to obtain by start date.
• USDA Category I accreditation or completion within two months.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care with exams, diagnoses, and preventive care.
• Develop diagnostic plans and treatments based on test results.
• Document observations and diagnoses in the medical record.
• Perform spays/neuters, abdominal exploratories, and mass removals.
• Perform dental procedures including exams, radiographs, extractions.
• Create treatment plans for day hospitalization and coordinate with referrals.
• Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
