Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking an Intake Specialist to support the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program by performing intake, eligibility screening, and referrals. This role assists program staff and maintains positive interactions with community partners.

The position requires 2 years in related fields, a Colorado driver’s license, and credentialing within 12 weeks. Travel is required across the Denver metro area; we offer full-time or part-time hours and a

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in communication, human services, administration, or related fields.
• 1 year of direct service in human services
• Must possess a Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance.
• Must complete agency and program credentialing within 12 weeks of hire and maintain credentialing standards thereafter.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom, Google Teams, and other collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls and conduct intake to screen eligibility and collect documentation.
• Enter eligible veterans into the case management database.
• Refer ineligible applicants to appropriate programs.
• Maintain a database of community supports linking veterans to resources.
• Document eligibility screening activities in logs.
• Attend staff and department meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
