HMR Veteran Services is seeking a Cook to provide nutritious, high-quality meals for Veteran residents. You will prepare and serve meals that meet dietary needs while upholding food quality, safety, and sanitation standards. You may assist with meal prep for events and resident activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
• At least one year of cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or similar food service setting preferred.
• Other relevant cooking experience or professional cook training will be considered.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to providing exceptional service and care to our Veteran residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served with exceptional quality and consistency.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Assist with meal preparation for special events and facility functions.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products.
• Work collaboratively with the Dietary Services team to provide excellent service to residents.
• Support a positive dining experience for our Veteran residents and guests.
