Job summary

HMR Veteran's Services, LLC is seeking a Nursing Home Cook in El Paso, TX to prepare meals tailored to our Veteran residents and support special events. You will maintain high food quality, provide excellent resident service, and uphold sanitation standards within the Dietary Services Department.

The role requires knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic practices, with preferred experience in healthcare settings. High school diploma or GED required; cook training considered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic practices.
• One year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Other cooking experience or successful completion of a cook's training program (not a class) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for our Veteran residents meeting their individual needs.
• Prepare meals for special events as needed.
• Ensure the highest quality of prepared food items, excellent service to residents, and safety and sanitation of the dietary services department.
