Job summary

HMR Veteran's Services in Florence, SC is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare meals for veteran residents, ensuring safety and sanitation in the Dietary Services Department. The role supports meal service and special events as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, knowledge of food preparation and sanitation, and healthcare kitchen experience is preferred. Various shifts available; full-time/part-time positions with EOE statement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic practices.
• One year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Other cooking experience or completion of a cook's training program will be considered.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Home Cook prepares meals for our Veteran residents which meet their individual needs. The Cook also prepares meals for special events as needed. Our Cooks are responsible for ensuring the highest quality of prepared food items, excellent service to our Veteran residents, and the safety and sanitation of the Dietary Services Department.
