Qualifications

• Have knowledge of the different veteran’s affairs education benefit programs, as well as the Texas Hazlewood education exemption.

Responsibilities

• Perform general office functions and provide information on VA educational benefits and eligibility; assist students with applying for VA programs.
• Review academic evaluations, enrollments, and requirements to ensure VA compliance and College policies.
• Prepare and review documentation for certification of veterans’ educational entitlements to DVA benefits.
• Monitor veterans’ academic progress and reporting requirements to DVA.
• Assist veterans with problem resolution regarding benefits, documentation, and eligibility.
