Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking an Examiner to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) Examinations for Veterans applying for VA disability compensation. The role involves reviewing claims, performing focused assessments, reviewing records, and potentially rendering medical opinions based on the record.

Some charting from home may be required. The position requires NP licensure, at least 1 year of nursing experience, and adherence to VA/MDE guidelines, HIPAA, and privacy standards;

Qualifications

• Must hold a Nurse Practitioner license in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Prior experience with medical disability examinations preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations and assess impact on daily life.
• Review medical records and diagnostic results to understand condition.
• Render objective medical opinions based on findings and records.
• Document findings in VA-aligned reports and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with other departments to gather information as needed.
• Ensure timely submission and availability for C&P exams.
• Maintain HIPAA and privacy compliance.
