Goodwill Southern California is hiring a WCD Veterans Specialist to empower veterans and military family members as they transition to civilian careers and achieve long-term success.

You will provide case management and employment counseling, conduct needs assessments, facilitate workshops, and build partnerships with employers and veteran service organizations. The role offers an hourly rate and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. military veteran or immediate family member (spouse, parent, sibling, or child).
• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years of career counseling or case management experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with barriers to employment.
• Non-profit and/or veteran-service experience preferred; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized case management and employment counseling to veterans and eligible family members.
• Conduct needs assessments, develop tailored employment plans, and connect participants to training and resources.
• Facilitate workshops on resume writing, interviewing, and workplace readiness.
• Build partnerships with employers, veteran service organizations, and community agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure program compliance with funder and organizational standards.
