Missouri Veterans Commission (MVC) is seeking a Veterans Service Officer to help Veterans and their families obtain federal and state benefits. You will interview Veterans, review records, and develop benefits packages under VA and state laws.

The role includes outreach at events to promote MVC programs and respond to inquiries from Veterans and organizations. Requires knowledge of benefits processes, an honorable discharge, and a related bachelor’s degree.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and procedures related to benefits for military members, Veterans and dependents.
• Knowledge of the application and appeal processes for VA and other benefits.
• Ability to interview and interact with the general public from diverse backgrounds.

• Review data to determine eligibility for VA and other benefits.
• Develop claims packages for disability, education, healthcare, and burial benefits.
• Maintain beneficiary claim files and verify benefits annually.
