Job summary

WestCare Nevada Inc. Reno location is seeking an Admission Specialist to support the intake and admission process for the Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP).

You will screen participants, verify eligibility, complete admissions paperwork, and ensure timely data entry while guiding veterans through program enrollment. The role includes coordinating supportive services (mental health, benefits, clothing, transportation), facilitating workshops and following up on progress to improve

Qualifications

• Must have CPR & First Aid Certification and an Annual Tuberculosis Test
• Valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain and maintain WestCare Vehicle Insurance eligibility
• Education: Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) or related field

Responsibilities

• Document all incoming calls regarding admissions and input all information into admissions database.
• Verify insurance enrollment and funding status in multiple databases and document benefits in admission system.
• Assist clients with Medicaid applications and address questions to determine coverage options.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges in collaboration with the Program Manager.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to maximize customer service to clients and referral sources.
