Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking a dedicated professional to support veteran mental health programs. You will collaborate with the Bush Institute’s Veteran Wellness Alliance to connect veterans with high-quality clinical care and WWP services.

This role emphasizes empathy, data accuracy, and program coordination in a mission-driven environment. The position requires experience in veteran-focused mental health programming, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Understanding of psychological and mental health issues.
• Experience with veteran-focused mental health programming or case management is preferred.
• Ability to interact with diverse individuals and build relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with VWA network leaders to connect veterans to mental health care.
• Serve as primary contact for VWA peer network members and respond to needs assessments.
• Conduct comprehensive needs assessments of referred veterans' mental and brain health.
• Coordinate warm handoffs to clinical providers within VWA/WWP programs.
• Maintain accurate case documentation in WWP databases and partner systems.
• Prepare regular reports for WWP Mental Health leadership and VWA partners.
