Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking a PH&W Screening Specialist to recruit and screen wounded service members for PH&W coaching, Soldier Ride, and Adaptive Sports programs. You will assess readiness, coordinate internal/external resources, and support warriors and families in pursuing health goals.

The role requires experience in fitness/health coaching, strong communication, and the ability to travel. WWP offers a hybrid schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, kinesiology, nutrition, human performance, or related health science field.
• CPR-First Aid certification; valid state driver’s license; ability to obtain ASIST within 1 year.
• Experience in fitness/health coaching and program design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit warriors for PH&W programs via virtual and in-person formats.
• Develop and execute pre-program content to assess warriors’ readiness and direct them to PH&W programs or Adaptive Sports.
• Plan and execute recruiting events and welcome calls with limited supervision from manager.
• Lead recruiting efforts through internal processes and weekly emails to warriors and families.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to deliver PH&W, Soldier Ride, and Adaptive Sports programming.
