Job summary

Benchmark Transitions' Valor Program in Montclair, CA seeks a Licensed Therapist to serve Veterans in a residential, trauma-informed setting. You will deliver individual, group, and family psychotherapy, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress within CPT and other evidence-based modalities.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensure timely documentation, and support discharge and reintegration planning while maintaining strong military cultural competency.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related behavioral-health discipline.
• Active California clinical license appropriate to discipline (LMFT/LCSW/LPCC/ psychologist).
• Experience in trauma-informed care and trauma-related disorders.
• Knowledge of PTSD, co-occurring disorders, relapse prevention, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
• Ability to provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy in residential settings.
• Ability to document medical necessity, progress, and complete timely documentation.
• Ability to respond to behavioral-health emergencies and advise on safety and level of care.
• Strong interpersonal, judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a structured residential environment.
• Willingness to complete Valor-specific clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy within Valor program.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans and assessments.
• Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team and case management.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in EMR.
• Support discharge planning and civilian reintegration planning.
• Demonstrate trauma-informed, veteran-focused care.
